Three tips for a better night's sleep

Reduce blue light exposure in the evening as it tricks your body into thinking it’s daytime. Reduce your time on electronic devices such as computers and smart phones at night as they are one of the worst offenders for blue light. Download an app such as f.lux on your computer or laptop to block blue light.
Set your bedroom temperature – body and bedroom temperature affect your sleep quality. Around 20c is comfortable for most people but test different temperatures to find out which is most comfortable for you.

Relax and clear your mind – many people have a routine to help them relax prior to bed. Techniques include a massage, deep breathing or a hot bath. Why not melt the day’s stresses away with our Luxe Bath Bomb infused with 25mg CBD.

Don't just take our word for it...

Why not read our customer case studies below where they have kindly fed back on their own experiences when using CBD and the effect it has had on their sleeping and other conditions.
My name is Mike Gould, I’m 68 and I live with my dear wife near Grantham. I would say I’m fairly active for my age and have had a varied career having served…
I’m Terrie and I live with my family and two dogs in Gloucester. Being a 46 year old woman, very much experiencing all that nature throws at us around this age…

Common questions

Can CBD really help you sleep better?

According to research, CBD has the potential to increase the overall amount of sleep and improve sleep in sufferers of insomnia.

Does CBD make you sleepy?

This is a common question asked but it naturally interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system or ECS to help the body achieve homeostasis. Which is why some CBD consumers have reported “improved sleep quality” at night.

With our THC free products, you will not receive any trace of the intoxicating cannabinoid found in marijuana that can cause heavy sedating effects, but people do react to CBD differently. While many tell us that they feel generally “more energised” some report a “calmness or relaxation”.

How can I take the CBD for sleep?

There are a variety of ways to take CBD to aid in a better night’s sleep. The two case studies on the Goodbody Wellness web page are good examples where CBD flavoured oil  ‘MCT CBD Oil Drops Chocolate and Hazelnut 5%’ has been used and CBD Gum in the other study to aid a good night’s sleep.

For some people, they will use the oil drops as a tincture, but others may prefer the regular feeling of swallowing a capsule. Our other customers enjoy adding their CBD to a hot drink or even baking with it so the options are endless.

It all depends on what and how much works best for you.

How much CBD works for you?

For every person, the amount of CBD needed to get the best boost to their well-being will differ. Some people need more to get that boost and others will need less.

If you decide that you would try oil drops then we would generally recommend our Goodbody Wellness ‘CBD Drops 5%’ product. that a person take between 3-4 drops twice a day.

It is important to remember however that getting the benefits of CBD vary based on a number of factors such as:

  • The strength of the CBD product itself A customers’ body mass (a person of smaller stature may need less than a person who is larger)
  • A customers body chemistry (We are all wired differently)
  • It’s always best to start off small and work your way up to a larger serving just to stick to the safe-side. There are no known side-effects, however, like with adding anything new to your diet, discretion is always the best policy.
